Looking up that stuff on prositution kind of got me thinking about just prostitution in general. I remember my human sexuality teacher talking about how someone did a research paper on strippers and how they thought about love. the student went to strip clubs and got the strippers to fill out a survey which asked them questions about what they thought love meant, if there were certain things they wouldn't do with a patron, such as kiss, if they had a boyfriend, if they would date a customer, etc. The student then did a research paper about it and everything.
This also reminded me of a show on HBO by the name of "G-String Divas". Basically the show was a documentary of a strip club and each episode dealt with different aspects of love. For my HBO class we watched an episode where the subject was just the idea of true love and how each of the interviewees felt about it and how they dealt with boyfriends and husbands etc.
The combination of these two have started to get me thinking if anything has been done in terms of research about the prostitutes point of view on issues like this. I think I might be interested in researching this.
